We are a small farm in Southern Oklahoma,
We Specialize in Rare, Heritage Poultry. Because of the dangers of species extinction, we have been picking out old heritage breeds to raise and sell to keep the species going. The engineered egg layers of the commercial industry have no setting memory, and have probably lost a good deal other instincts that would protect them from predators and what to forage, etc. It is important to have different breeds for different climates and altitudes to fall back on in case of diseases that can wipe out a whole variety or species at a farm or country. We hope you will consider raising some of these time proven rare or heritage chickens at your farm.
